Getting around Rattanakosin
The MRT Blue Line now reaches the old town. Sanam Chai station is about 800 metres from the centre and Sam Yot around 1.2 km, with Itsaraphap across the river roughly 1.55 km away. From Sanam Chai the line runs on to Chinatown at Wat Mangkon and through to Hua Lamphong and Silom. Chao Phraya Express Boat piers such as Tha Chang and Tha Tien are often the most pleasant way to travel.
