Bangkok's oldest public park (1925), named after the Buddha's birthplace. Famous for tai chi dawn, free aerobics at 17:30, Chinese-opera weekends — and the resident population of two-meter monitor lizards sunning on the lawns.

06:00 for dawn tai chi, or 17:30 for aerobics and the golden-hour fountains
Tips
Free. Boat rentals on the lake. Don't feed or touch the monitor lizards.
