About
Opened in 2006, Suvarnabhumi handles the bulk of Bangkok's international traffic and is the primary hub for Thai Airways. Its soaring glass-and-steel terminal by Helmut Jahn is a landmark in itself. The Airport Rail Link connects the airport to Phaya Thai in about 30 minutes.
Best time to visit
Any time — 24/7 operations.
Tips
Use the Airport Rail Link (45 THB) over taxis during rush hour. Immigration queues are longest 5–8am and 9pm–midnight — fast-track passes help if your airline offers them.
